Dear Commish Bisignano,
My daughter filed her disability claim approximately 3 years ago and still hasn’t been approved. In 2022 while living in Colorado she had 18 strokes in 3 days. Since being back in Texas she has had several more strokes leaving her blind and partially paralyze on the right side. Josh, her husband has not heard a word from Medicaid as well. He works from home to take care of her, which his job has cut him down to two days a week. She needs 24/7 care. While he is at work in the
room which is an office he has a camera on her in case she starts seizing due to all of the strokes. He needs help so he can start getting the help she needs. (Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy).
I would like to know what the hold up is.
What do we need to do to get this moving faster? Everyday is a day further she is falling behind in therapy.
Mother of disable daughter.

My brother had to hire a lawyer to fight for his Disability coverage after 3 years of denial and lack of action, and that was 25 years ago. I don’t think it’s any easier now, just harder.

As a taxpayer and recipient of Social Security I have offended and appalled by the deceptive email sent to me that says 90% of SSA recipients will no long pay federal tax. That’s a lie. In fact, we get a $6K deduction for four years. The American people are not stupid, quit treating us like idiots.

To Commissioner Frank Bisignano, I thought that you said you took this job to service our country, not to serve the ego of the president.

I am also very disappointed by the email applauding the elimination of tax on SS. While that will be the effect for many seniors, that isn’t actually that’s happening. It seems clear that taxes will continue to be withheld based on current guidelines and returned when your tax return is filed in the form of a rebate.
Your letter is terribly misleading and won’t immediately be understood by MANY seniors. My own father had this misunderstanding until I explained the reality to him.
You should be ashamed of making such statements!

To Commissioner Frank Bisignano, There is no reason to applaud this legislation. Shame on you for politicizing Social Security. Do your job and help deserving Americans and get out of the pocket of the president. I am absolutely disgusted by the spam email I received.

How does Mr. Bisignano think this bill is so great? We didn’t want it. It isn’t saving me anything. Mr. B by the way makes over 23 million.

Why does the screen for entering into social to get a nubras fyo are deaf or hard of hearing? I push yes. No accommodations were made for me at all. I told the SS lady about my hard of hearing yet she didn’t help out at all. I couldn’t understand her . Who do I talk to about getting better service. I have an appointment on August 8.

Social Security release on July 4, 2025: “Applauds Passage of Legislation Providing Historic Tax Relief for Seniors”
How does it Protect Social Security Benefits to Seniors?
Per the Committe for a Responsible Federal Budget this Legislation as passed “Would Accelerate Social Security & Medicare Insolvency by a year, to 2032.”
So, while Senior’s can benefit from paying lower income taxes today, it would be at the Cost of potentially losing even more in benefits (estimated to be 24%) in only 7 years. Seniors would lose more in benefits in the future than it would save in taxes. The Legislation does nothing to help fund the Social Security Fund, only depletes it sooner.
How does this Protect Social Security as the Commissioner Frank Bisignano states in his release on July 4th, 2025?
Dan B.
Frank B sent out a disastrous BLAST email about SS! What the heck is going on with him?
William P.
I find the bulk email I received applauding the One Big Beautiful Bill totally inappropriate. You mention how this is paid for by all American taxpayers but you fail to mention how this One Big Beautiful Bill actually increases the hardship on so many Americans while enriching a small group of Americans.
You should be ashamed and embarrassed, but I suspect that will not be the case based on the fact that you already send out this email.
Charlene B.
YES WILLIAM — tell it like it really is! That email, and the corresponding verbiage directly on the Social Security website, was so unprofessional and un-governmental sounding, that it would be laughable if it didn’t directly reflect the disastrous AND inappropriate turn our government has taken since January of this year. I am embarrassed to be recognized as an American now, considering our current international reputation. So sad.
Mead S.
The fact that the administration is engaged in a proactively lying (as is their baseline) about the disastrous legislation recently passed by the pathetic Republican Party really says it all. The biggest rip off of the American people ever; sadly historic.
