What happened to the civil service ideals of non-political efficient service and merit? Even if the claims made were objectively true, which they are not, this is astonishingly inappropriate. Moreover, it is one more sign of this administration’s gradual takeover of non-partisan governmental functions and turn them into political arms of the White House.

The SSA dept in Freeport, NY are making their own rules. It needs qualified people and customer service should have answers for the public. I had appealed the 1st decision and didn’t get an answer until almost 2 yrs later. Appealed that decision and they sent the exact notes of the previous admin. I don’t believe it was even look at. I am appealing again to see what my answer would be. Still waiting 8 months later. Do you job!

Needing help with social security Disability I’ve had 3 heart attacks since heart surgery and have 3 stents. They are planning on a second heart surgery in August. This last heart attack in May done a lot of damage and put an end to my commercial driving career of over 30 years. I’ve done everything online and seems to be stalled. I’ve tried to get a none driving job but I guess companies see me as a high risk. I don’t want to lose everything I’ve worked so hard for could really use some help. Thank you

I don’t understand how this is happening in America. I had 4 neck and back surgeries and an interstim machine connected to my bladder and was denied 3 xs. Had to keep working to survive and beat my body up more. While at SSD court there were people getting approved for not speaking English!! I’m 63 now, I was in my early 50 s when I applied

Customer service really needs to be cleaned up. I have been on the phone for over 1 hour waiting for assistance. I have tried to use the website to no avail and also to set an appointment at our local office. I did go to our local office and it was packed with waiting people to see an agent. The check in line was almost out the door and the estimated wait to check in was over an hour! I am very upset. The website offers no way to handle my situation as a Trusttee of an Estate! By the way, I just tried to make an appointment but my hold for a customer service person was over 100 minutes! I hung up and am still holding on the original phone call I place now, over an hour ago. That is unacceptable!

Supplemental security income (ssi) are approved, the next step involve understanding when benefits start, how to receive payments and managing health insurance Generally, there,s a 5 month waiting period for benefit with payment, start in the sixth full months after the disability onset date. For ssi payments alliance conditions administration for the term.

It’s unfortunate that the SSA would send out a partisan political email. But not unexpected given the behavior and staffing of the current Administration. Not surprisingly, the information in the email is misleading, as the tax reductions will bring forward the impending insolvency of the social security trust fund.

I know what you mean!! Who the heck does this president think he is? Trying to get us to keep more of our own money? They can’t do that!!! That’s money we have to keep giving the poor undocumented people for next election votes!!!

First you send me an email that is clearly a cheerleading effort for the current administration. Then you send me an email telling me you updated my earnings report so that I can see my SSA projections. I am already on SSA, so you clearly did not do your homework on who should receive this second useless email. How about supporting customer service instead of writing useless emails?

I would like to say that the social security administration needs to be revamped. The people that you speak to in your local offices don’t know anything. They say they have to send information to the main office I believe in Pennsylvania and there is no way of contacting that department to get any information or update. This is not how you do business. The people need information and you have a department that no one can get in touch with. You just send them information and wait for them to respond. How do you know if anyone is working at this department

Please do not ever send a political message again, whatever party is in power. Thank you.
